Egyptian Protestors Prove It’s Not so Easy to Shut Down The web

Reports are coming out of Egypt about how different people are finding different resources to help them get online.

Some Egyptians are go through good old fashioned dial-up. Using international numbers being spread around. Others are using an ad-hoc mix of their cell phone, Bluetooth and a laptop.

Fax machines are also being used by activists who wanted to contact others inside Egypt to help plane ways to restore internet access.

Egyptians are also gaining support from inside their country as people spread flyers that explain how to circumvent the block put in place by Mubarak and some who still have internet connections are disabling their wireless passwords and allowing others to piggy-back on their networks.
