IBM’s supercomputer Watson is going toe to toe with the two biggest all time Jeopardy champs Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter tonight in the first of three rounds.
IBM plans to dismantle Watson after the last game, however they intended to use the technology in other fields such as business and medicine. Dr. David Ferrucci, the lead researcher on the project, has said he envisions a future where computers using Watsons machine learning capabilities will be able to diagnose patients using various test results faster and with more accuracy than human doctors.
