Google Kills Malicious Apps

android_trojan

So it seems Google verified 21 malicious apps installed a Trojan worm named DroidDream, and they’re all set to remote kill and remove the infected software using their kill switch.

The original number of infected apps was 55, but I guess Google narrowed that down over the past few days.

Google will also be remotely adding a new android market security tool this month to affected phones that will remove an exploit added by the worm and prevent it from sending out data.
