Sony Launches Cloud Music Player for PSP Owners

sony-music-unlimited

Sony announced it’s plans to debut it’s cloud music player “Music Unlimited Powered by Qriocity”“ on PSP this April 14th.

“Music Unlimited Powered by Qriocity” launched in February on Sony’s non mobile devices including; Vaio Laptops, Bravia T.V’s and Sony’s line of Blu-ray players. The addition of the PSP to to this lineup means that users can listen all their songs, playlists and personal music channels on the go rather than just at home with the aforementioned devices, since the content is being stored in the cloud.

Music Unlimited Powered by Sony currently has a library of over seven million songs from the big four record labels: Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, EMI Music and Sony Music Entertainment (of course). The list also includes a few independent labels and publishers.

I like the idea of not having to add new songs to every device, however due to their treatment of GeoHotz I’m not a fan of Sony but I do like what their doing here as opposed to what Amazon has to offer.

Check the video below for Sony’s demo of the new service.
