Libya’s Internet Goes Down Again

According to eWeek, Libya’s been fighting internet blackout’s as punishment for the rebellions going on in that country. The country went dark on Feb 19th and 20th for about seven hours each time, when ISP’s just pulled the plug and denied users access to the web.

The technique used yesterday was different however, the servers appear to be up and running and are responding to requests, but as of March 3 7:00 pm Libya time queries to Google and YouTube have flat-lined and haven’t come back since. Their apparently throttling users  access the same way they would if they went over their monthly data limit.
